  • Td5 & Puma ECU Remapping in LK: Who is doing it right, and is it worth the hype?

What's up, boys? The factory tune on a Td5 or Puma is safe, but pulling a heavy 110 up the Kadugannawa climb with the AC blasting can feel sluggish. A proper Stage 1 remap easily bumps a Td5 from 122 bhp to nearly 160 bhp with massive low-end torque. The trick in Sri Lanka is finding someone who actually does custom road-logging rather than flashing cheap generic maps. Early Td5 with MSB ECUs need the chip desoldered and socketed, while Puma engines need a tuner who understands our hot climate so your Exhaust Gas Temperatures don't spike and crack the head. Who are you guys trusting for ECU remaps in LK, and what kind of performance gains are you actually seeing? Drop your turner recommendations and stories below!

Bro, Stage 1 remapping a Td5 or Puma is an absolute game-changer! Pulling up Kadugannawa with the A/C blasting feels totally effortless once you unlock that low-end torque. Just stay far away from cheap generic eBay maps, in Sri Lanka's crazy heat, bad tunes will spike your exhaust temps and crack the cylinder head fast. Stick to a custom hot-climate map (like Alive Turning or TD5inside), drop in a larger intercooler, delete the EGR, and make sure your turner actually does live road-logging!🤙🚗💨
