What's up, boys? If you have a Td5, you know the pain of a leaking FPR dripping diesel right onto your starter motor (which eventually ruins the starter too).
Buying a whole new unit costs a bomb. But you can get cheap O-ring and gasket rebuild kits online.
Has anyone successfully rebuilt their FPR using a repair kit, or did it just leak again? Who is the best local mechanic to trust with this annoying job?

Aiyoo machan, don't throw money at a brand new whole assembly from Panchikawatta! 80% of the time, the aluminum casting itself is completely fine. It's just that Cheap 4-bar Bosch internal regulator cartridge or those trash generic rubber O-rings perishing from our host local diesel.
