Title: Defender 90 – Real Owner Issues You Should Know (Sri Lanka Experience)
Post by: Dushan_Amara on May 05, 2026, 03:10 PM
Machan, I've been seeing a lot of people asking about the Land Rover Defender 90, so just sharing what I've noticed and heard from a few owners here in SL.

First thing — the infotainment system (Pivi Pro infotainment system) sometimes acts up. Not all the time, but randomly it can lag or freeze. Usually a restart or update fixes it, but yeah... a bit annoying for a vehicle in this price range.

Then the air suspension — super comfortable when it's working properly, but some guys have faced issues like uneven height or warning lights, especially after going proper off-road or rough roads (which we all know we have plenty of here 😅).

Also heard about small water leaks here and there, like around doors or the back. Nothing major most of the time, but still something you don't expect from a Defender.

Fuel consumption... ah that one you have to accept. It drinks fuel, no joke. And brake wear also seems a bit high if you're driving it hard or in city traffic like Colombo.

But overall, honestly, the Land Rover Defender 90 is still a solid machine. Looks amazing, drives great, and off-road නම් next level. Just need to be ready for these small issues and maintenance side of things 👍
