Guys, working on 1975 Series III electrical system and going crazy with the wiring! Everyone says Series vehicles have simple electrics but this looks like spaghetti to me. Indicators not working, headlights dim, wipers intermittent. Got basic wiring diagram but doesn't match what I'm seeing under dashboard. Previous owner obviously modified something. Anyone has proper original wiring diagram for 1975 Series III? Also, what's normal for these vehicles - should I expect electrical gremlins as part of character?

Bro, Series III electrics are simple in theory but 40+ years of modifications make them nightmares! Original wiring uses Lucas components which were... let's say "quirky" when new. First step - check earth connections, most problems come from poor grounding. For proper diagrams, check Series2club.org or landroverseries.com forums. Many people convert to modern wiring looms for reliability. Don't fight the original system too much, sometimes easier to start fresh with a new loom from YRM or similar. Yes, electrical issues are part of the series character - embrace the adventure!
