Men, I'm planning a 7-day Defender round-island trip — Jaffna, Trinco, Ella, then all the way to Galle. Planning to sleep on rooftop tent, go full chill mode. But machan, I never did this type of long run before. What recovery gear I must pack for our roads and trails?
Planning to buy a winch soon. I got traction boards and a Hi-Lift jack from OffRoad.lk. But not sure what else is must-have in our local terrain. Any tips from experienced island overlanders?

Oi nice trip plan machang! That's a proper Defender run 😍 Winch definitely a must, especially if you're doing B grade roads near Trinco. Also don't forget to pack extra coolant and fuses — SL heat ekka vehicles boil fast. I always carry a tyre repair kit, jump starter, spare fan belt, and a tow strap. Also if going via Ohiya or Badulla side, signal drops often. Buy a cheap CB radio from Unity Plaza bro — lifesaver when no mobile network. Happy travels!
