Title: Honest review after 2 years with my Defender 110 TD5 in Sri Lanka

So I've had my TD5 for just over 2 years now and honestly thought I'd share what nobody tells you before you buy one. First year was rough. The injector seals went at around 8 months, cost me about 45k to sort out at a garage in Nugegoda. But here's the thing — once that was fixed and I did a proper service, the thing just runs. Colombo traffic is where it suffers most, the fuel economy is genuinely bad if you're stop-starting every 10 minutes. But take it on the highway or up to Kandy and it transforms completely. The driving position is high, visibility is excellent, and there's something about the way it handles elevation changes that feels planted. Would I buy it again? Yes. But go in with your eyes open — budget at least 200k in your first year for unexpected repairs and you won't be surprised.
