Machan, went on a muddy trail run near Hanthana over the weekend with a few boys. Weather turned crazy fast and we had to cross a swollen stream on the way back.

My Puma cleared it fine, but water came dangerously close to the hood level. I don't have a snorkel installed yet, and honestly, the heart was in my mouth for 30 seconds straight!😅

Question: Are Safari snorkels worth the high local price tag, or do the locally fabricated aluminum/plastic ones hold up just as well without leaking at the airbox connection? Drop your trail pics too! 📸

Ayo machan, crossing swollen Hanthana streams without a snorkel is pure madness! 🌊 For deep water, Safari is 100% worth the cash, watertight out-of-the-box, and with zero risk of hydrolocking that Puma 2.2 engine. Local fabrications are fine for dust, but they usually leak at the inner wing ducts and flex joints under pressure. If you go local to save money, just make sure your mechanic seals every single connection with Sikaflex, checks the airbox drain valve, and extends your axle breathers before the next rain run! 🚜🇱🇰
