Machan. Learn from my mistakes.
I wanted that clean, modern Puma dash look for my 300Tdi but didn't want to spend 8-9 Lakhs on a genuine plastic dashboard kit. I saw a post on Facebook for a "local fiberglass Puma replica dash" for just 120,000 LKR. thought I hit the jackpot.
The day we fitted it, it looked okay from far away. But the moment I hit a gravel road? It sounded like a bag of loose bolts rattling in a metal bucket.😂 The fiberglass was so rigid it kept cracking at the mounting points, and none of the air vents lined up properly. I ended up throwing it in the trash and went back to a clean, whapped original 300Tdi dash.

Anyone else fallen for these cheap "lookalike" fiberglass parts? What's your experience?

Defenders expose weak parts very quickly. If it survives a few days on Sri Lankan roads, then it's probably decent. 😂 Thanks for the honest review

100% true, machan. Defender builds teach you one thing—cheap parts always become expensive lessons. Better to save a little longer and buy quality once than fit something twice. Thanks for sharing your experience. 👏🚙
