Hey guys, when it comes to swapping out a troubled 300Tdi or TD5, the Toyota 1KD/2KD and Nissan QD32 are the most popular choices here.
For those looking for reliability and easy parts availability without breaking the bank, which engine actually performs better daily on our roads? Drop your experiences, fuel efficiency figures, and any wiring or gearbox matching trips below!

Machan, hands down QD32 if you're trying to keep your kidneys! My cousin put a 1KD in his 110 last year... bro, the electrician took 3 months just to sort the loom, and every time bad diesel hits, the check engine light gives him a heart attack. QD32 is pure sledgehammer technology. Pour coconut oil into that thing and it'll still climb Kandy road!

Aiyo don't forget the clutch feel, boys! A QD32 pressure plate with a custom adapter makes the clutch pedal heavier than a leg-day workout at the gym. If you're stuck in Rajagiriya traffic for an hour, your left knee will resign! If budget is tight, do QD32 with a Toyota R151 gearbox swap instead of forcing it onto the R380.But if you have the budget, get a complete 1KD half-cut with its original auto/manual box and wire it clean, you'll never look back.
